Hindustani Vocal music is the classical music of Northern India. Musicshikshan provides the unique opportunity for students everywhere to learn Hindustani Vocal music through a highly structured curriculum and a clear path for progression.Hindusthani music has been enriched over the past several centuries by different flavors of Gharanas and influences of social cultures.

There are many gharanas in Hindustani Music such as Agra, Mewati, Patiala, Jaipur, Delhi, Gwalior etc.

Our curriculum includes Alanakaras, Lakshan Geeths, Sargam Geeths, Chotta khayals etc  in different ragas and different talas.  There are various types of light classical music also such as  Thumri, Jhoola, Sawan, Dadra, Hori, Chaiti, Kajri, etc. All these have a significant role in shaping modern Hindustani Vocal music which are mostly based on time, emotion, rasa, affection, love and devotion. It’s nature varies from Gharana to Gharana and some time these are complied with native folks tune with specific messages.
