Flute is one of the oldest known musical instruments in the world. In Indian mythology and culture the bamboo flute, also known as the bansuri has a special significance as it is the chosen instrument of the Lord Krishna, who is often, depicted playing it. Flute is very simple in its visibility yet producing a note ‘musical’ is very intricate. It takes years of dedication n persistence to achieve.
Playing raga in the flute is an amazing experience in itself. The tone of flute is already sweet in its nature, if we play ragas of the Indian classical music, which are ‘essence of the mood’, Both combined gives us an experience which should be experienced!
Musicshikshan offers training in learning Carnatic Flute from the basics to advanced levels.It includes imparting instructions and techniques to produce the sound, how to hold the flute and start playing the initial notes and various levels in a systematic way following a structured curriculum.
Students pursuing the Flute course will be provided the knowledge of various basic exercises (various) and alankaras and also the brief history of flute. Tutors will guide the students to learn finger and lip placements on the flute. Students of beginner, medium levels can start learning the Flute. The syllabus will be same as that of Carnatic vocals.
